American Sedan Race at Runoffs in Daytona
Here is an update as to my Runoffs in my 1991 Camaro. I had a great week and pretty good result with a 3rd place. Got hit by Ed Hosni in his mustang which put me back some but I crawled back. This was my first time at Daytona and the place does take some time getting used to. My top speed during the week was a 171 mph. Pretty fast but the car was very stable and no issues. This capped off a great year of racing and I can't wait until next year. Thanks Ron Sutton Racing, Ilmor Engines, Pro-Systems brakes and all my friends for the help.
Let me know about any questions.

I need to get some pics up. The car is built to the limit of SCCA American Sedan Rules. mine is 310 CI, American Sedan Edelbrock Heads, .500 solid lift cam, 10.1 compression ratio, Holley 600 CFM, on Performer RPM. JRI Shocks and Struts, solid bushings in stock control arms as required, adjustable panhard bar, Brembo Mono Block Calipers, Full Floater 7.5 GM rear end with Zexel Torsen Diff and I ran 3.42 gears at DIS. T-10 syncro box, custom Tilton Pedals, full safety equipment, AIM digital display.

That was bad ***. You had it before you got bumped from behind.
What is your car set-up (motor, trans, etc)?
How much effort does it take to put a car together for these events, I am assuming you need a completely different rollcage for this racing vs drag racing.

Nice job....qualifying for the runoffs in itself is quite an accomplishment! Car looked good out there

dude in the foxbody didnt need to be out there from the looks of it. he looked barely in control on his own and im guessing he wrecked the yellow mustang too. lol
other than that, i would have a blast doing that! what is the button on the steering wheel for? and do the brake pads ever stop squeeling?
