car won't start

Car will not start. No smog pump in it.
Getting spark, getting fuel but when I crank air comes out of the throttle body

Timing is way off. Sounds like intake and exhaust cycles are backwards.

He's only got two posts, he's new, his description of air going wrong direction from intake helps a lot. But yeah we need to know a little before we can tell what to do to start fixing it.

I had noticed that also. I just remember 15 years ago how I got slammed with my first couple of posts. I guess I was just paying it forward.

turn your crank to TDC and pop the distributor cap off. The rotor should be pointing either to the # 1 spark plug terminal or the # 6 plug terminal (assuming a V-8) If it's not, then timing chain most likely. It would help if you tell us what car / engine your working on.
