How many of you are from the Spokane area? Currently I'm in Denver and it's very likely I'll be relocating to the area with a new position. I'm curious about the car scene, weather, etc. I'd appreciate any feedback.
Thanks!
Chris

Welcome to Washington! Eastern WA is a rural part of the state, lots of farming, not much manufacturing, hot and dry in the summer and really cold with lots of snow in the winter. I have been to a couple of car shows over there " hot desert nights?" and was suprised at how many cars were from that area.
When you get settled in you have to go see a concert at the Gorge.
Thanks for the response. Sounds kind of like where I grew up (Iowa). I've quickly gotten spoiled with the Denver winters so the thought of cold and lots of snow isn't real thrilling. Sounds like a trip to visit the company/area is in the works in the next couple of weeks so we'll see.
Good luck in your interview. If you do move up here I think you will like it here, different type of people here-small town attitude for a big city for the most part. Im from Ma. and when I moved here I couldnt believe how nice the majority of the people were here. If you do move to Spokane look me up, Im also in Real Estate.
Good luck! I'm also from the Spokane area but I sold my Trans Am about a year ago and am driving a 4th gen these days (well...not right now with the weather as it is but you know :P).
yea its cool desert nights, fun show, I live in the tri cities, unfortunately, I didn't own my Iroc when the show came around this year, so I just drove my lowered F 150 in the cruise to the show, anyways, eastern WA is alright, Idk about spokane, but the Tri cities is a dam desert, so it gets cold as hell during winter( last week was averaging about -2), and hot as hell during summer(sometimes 105+)
Bremerton is a strange place, nothing there except for the base. WA state could actually be splint up into three regions. Coast, central ( Puget Sound area) and the east ( east of the mountains). Each is totally different.
i agree with that im thinking that the people over on the east side are tired of getting the short end of the stick, altho we kinda get the short end of the stick in kitsap, but thats my opinion

Hey yeah i live 2 hours out of town near Coeur d'Alene. The winter is pretty bad usually so a garage would be necessary. I do NOT recommend trying to drive it during the winter. Spring, summer, and fall are usually really good seasons for driving and we have 2 race tracks out here. There is the State Line Speedway and the Spokane Raceway Park. www.spokaneracewaypark.com is good site to look at. I personally think the city of Spokane is a dangerous place to park your 3rd gen. So a good security system is a MUST. Overall it is a nice place to be and Seattle isn't too far off if you want to go to some good shows.
What??? I leave my iroc on the street nobody bothers them here. You have to worry about leaving a honda or toyota on the street. russans want to make money; not to join a support group.
I just spent the week in Spokane, seen some nice cars on the highway.. went to a concert. I also camp in Sandpoint at Springy Point, take the kids to Silverwood.
Once everyone gets their cars on the road we should do a cruise/meet or something.
