Canada Breaks A Record
Canada is the first Host Country, AND the first Country to win, 14 GOLD MEDALS during a Winter Olympics!!!!!!
As always, the US, Germany and Norway took many medals.
Good on every Competitor; it was a great 2 weeks and I enjoyed having everyone here!!!
Now I can park at work again. HEHE

Nickelback just played an AWESOME song live. Metallica couldn't play live @ New Years.
Gotta love live music

Congrats to Canada on their hockey win. They won the game that mattered more of the two.
The US had some amazing medals, like bobsledding and the nordic stuff, and won the most medals of any country ever. Thanks to Canada for being such a wonderful host!

I watched whenever I could. I like the Olympics!! Missed the Bobsled & Luge-- 2 of my faves-- but saw some ski jumping....only saw that guy fall on the old Wide World of Sports when they used to say..."the thrill of victory...and the agony of defeat"...until a few days ago!!! Never knew Shatner was from Canada!!

AmorgetRS, you kill me...thanks
So a question..
Is it OK to post miscellaneous stuff under Regional? Or should it mostly be Auto oriented?
Thanks in advance for the pass and the info.

Re: Canada Breaks A Record
OK
Thanks for your reply
I admit I was a bit fired-up about the whole Olympics thing and wanted to 'brag' and share.
Thanks for letting me have a say and letting all others add their 2 bits. It was a great Winter Olympics, wasn't it.
I will not argue the fact the the U.S. kicked our buts.
I may be wrong in my recollections but I think...
The U.S. had 212 Athletes and Canada had 205.
Canada only won 26 and the U.S won 37
On a final note...
I watched a news report from Russia, as I am sure you have all seen/heard by now..
The Russian President stated that he wants letters of resignation from all peoples responsible for the failures of the athletes @ the 2010 Olympics, and if they don't resign, they will help them do so.
Wow, thankfully I was born here.
