Best Type of Chassis Lube?

I think the new synthetic greases are the way to go. I personally use Valvoline Synthetic grease.

The best stuff you can use is synthetic silicone grease. It's very sticky, and it's waterproof, so it doesn't wash away and stays where it should be.
It's great stuff, and it's the only grease you're supposed to use on polyurethane bushings. I use it for all chassis lubrication.

I agree with Steve that silicon grease is the best that I've used. But, where does one buy it? I've gone to Kragen, which is the only major automotive store around here, and they don't have it. I've only gotten this grease included when buying polygraphite bushings. Where can we buy it???
Thanks, Dave

Summit's advertising some in their catalogs. Apparently they've picked up the Pro-thane bushing line, because I see the name everywhere in their Chassis section of the catalog. They're selling two tubes of grease, the difference being the size, and they say it's meant for installing poly bushings. Can't remember the name offhand, sorry... but the Summit tech guys should. 1-800-230-3030 ..
Of course I'd also like to know other sources

I just picked up a tube of Mobil 1 from a friend for when I rebuild the front end this winter, I'm convinced its the best, and it'll be good for my rear greasable LCA's, track bar and sway bar bushings. As Steve said, silicone based lubricants are the best for poly bushings.

Yeah, they get like $9.99 for a little packet of it in Summit. We sell it in full size grease gun containers for $14.00, it's Part #902.
