nitrous on a 305

who all here has it done, what shot are you running, what did you do with the timing, do you have colder plugs, and does anybody have a wiring diagram?

quoted from SUPERMAN

As long as your ignition and fuel systems are in good working order and you step the plugs down one step and retard timing 1-2 degrees for every 50HP shot of spray you can got to 150 HP shot.

nitrous = steroids

one who uses steroids eventually has health problems(legal roids or not)

cars with nitrous go through the same thing........and its cheesy in my opinion.....naturally aspirated is the way to go brother

sure, it will mess up your engine, but nobody ever said racing was easy on your machine. if you race, whether its blown, nitroused, or n/a, you WILL mess something up. i would rather mess mine up running a 14.5 rather than a 15.5, though.

I run a step colder plug, stock timing ~6* with an SLP chip, I've just guessed at jet sizes on my wet system, but I am keeping it on the rich side, air/fuel gauge confirmed richer than normal WOT. I figured I'm running ~70 hp shot(maybe less) and picked up 8 mph in the 1/4. No problems so far after about 1 1/2 bottles. This is on a 305 with 107,xxx miles, cam, headers, 5 speed, blah, blah.

I've heard/seen others run up to 150 shot without problems in their 305s.
