Cam selection + Nitrous???
I'll be rebuilding my L98 engine in a few months and am purchasing all the parts I need for the rebuild...
New gaskets, aluminum vette heads, slp runners, forged pistons & rods, and the like...
I also plan to be using nitrous as part of my new set up and a new cam is part of the mix. My question is what would you all recomend in the way of a "nitrous friendly cam"???
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

A nitrous friendly cam is similar to a blower friendly grind. You want absolutely zero overlap. The intake valve should close BEFORE the exhaust valve starts to open.

Nitrous Cams
Comp Cams has a Line of Nitrous HP cams, I have heard they work very well.
If you are planning on stickin to a 125hp shot or less than an Extreme Energy Grind will work also. There are many EX grinds for roller cam TPI motors.

A nitrous friendly cam has less overlap than a cam for the same motor that is only N/A. It also needs to open the exhaust valve sooner.
Generally a nitrous cam has a wider lobe separation spec,
additional exhaust duration and is installed more advanced.
Basicly the intake lobe is the same as for a N/A motor but the exhaust lobe and timing is tweeked to ogment the nitrous.
