SuperCharger on to my LT1

Would anyone know if the L98 supercharger mount on the LT1 from a b- or f- body? Has anyone tryed it?
I seen lots of pix on the net and it looks as if it would. I check with vortech and the tech said I'd be on my own with the instal. I want the supercharger, but can't weld to save my life...

Perhaps help would be quicker coming on the Power Adder forum than the Swap forum.

No it is totaly different. Do you have the blower? I have a f-body LT-1 mounting plate for a p600 ATI. with the tensioner if you need it.

That looks like one of the aftermarket Impala kits.

You could get the vortech generic carb'd sbc kit, the bracket will bolt to the LT1, it just bolts to the head, might have to fab your own crank pulley.

You can bolt a vette LT1 accessory package right into 3rd gen, and then the ATI vette LT1 setup fits with very little modification (mostly just the tubing in and out of the blower)

Yes but by the time you purchase a vette accessory setup, and a blower kit for a vette, you could have had a custom stainless intercooled turbo system fabricated and a new fast computer to control it.

Gotta love the markup for something on a "Vette"

btw the sbc kit is about 2300, sell the carb box for a good chunk to someone looking to turbo their carb motor, then just take care of the pulley issue, much cheaper, no accessory hunting.

You end up paying in one place or the other… If you’re not going to do it yourself, then you’ll get stuck paying someone to cut you a custom bracket to position things where they’ll fit on the LT1, since it’s a non standard application.

Like I said previously, the vortech carb kit bolts to the cylinder head, the only thing custom needed would be the crank pulley, and it may not even require that *if* the vortech LT1 happens to line up.
