Who makes 8 rib pulleys for Vortech?

Looking to replace my stock 6 rib pulleys for my s-trim with 8 rib. Does anyone make them? I've been dealing with a slippage problem. I solved the problem by putting the tensioner on the top side of the belt, in other words the tensioner pulley is before the charger, this actually works great, it keeps the belt from riding off the top of the pulley at high rpms. But the truth is I know an 8 rib will be better, just need to know where to buy them.

Poke around Vortech's website. I've seen 8-rib pulleys somewhere on there. Also, can you post a picture of your tensioner mounting? I throw my belt at high rpm and was looking for a solution.

I took a couple pics. In short (if my memory is good) I removed the stock tensioner from the unit, I took the pulley off the bracket & flipped the bracket over & installed pulley back into same hole, then bolted back on sc unit on the upper holes. It will make sense when doing it. There are lots of mtg holes. I am still running the stock length belt. Basically at high rpm the top side of the belt moves in an arch that gets higher & higher, eventually it causes the belt to slip or fall off. By keeping the belt down low as it feeds onto the pulley this is eliminated. It only took 10 minutes to do & no money spent.

Looks like you got better hose clearance too.

The belt slipping and flying off is usually from compressor surge. Mine would jump on every pass. Got a BOV from a DSM, and now its perfect.

Here is what I did, going way back.
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...ech+rib+pulley

ASP made me a nice 8 rib 7.5" SC crank pulley with an underdrive 6 rib accy.

I am also setting up my tensioner pulley on the top side, but I am fabricating a spring tensioner set-up using this tensioner.

I should have no slipage problems.
