twin turbo, but no boost!?
I put twin chrysler t3's on my vortec TPI 350 in a 92 camaro. I'm using the holley commander 950 with innovate WBO2 and a GMC Syclone MAP sensor. The power is the same as before the turbos, maybe less on the low end. I can't find any leaks, intake or exhaust. The BOV blows off when I let off. Manifold pressure does not exceed 92KPa under WOT. AFR~12:1. Downpipes are dual 3" to the ground near the front tires. Internal wastegates function properly on the bench with an air compressor, start to open at 3psi wide open at 7 psi.

I went out to Northern Parkway where all the imports street race and asked some of the guys I knew. The BOV spring pressure needed to be raised, the manual boost controller adjusted, and the real problem was a blown coupling that I missed under the hood latch to the driver side intercooler. My brother and I tightened up all the clamps and ran 6psi. I just finished the project friday night and finally got boost by 3am Sunday morning. I felt out of place but the ricers loved it.

Its sort of breaking up at around 6psi of boost. The AFR is around 12.5 to 12.9:1 with 93 octane pump gas. I did a guess with the timing and retarded it from N/A by 3 degrees per psi. I don't know how to check when the knock sensor pulls out timing. could the timing be too retarded (like 13 degrees of total timing @6psi and 3200rpm)?

Yah it could. Your might be pulling some knock retard when you hit the boost. Best way to monitor that is with a data logger. Hit the stickies on the DIY prom board and look into free datalogging software.BTW is this setup intercooled?

if that doesn't help you might be getting blow out, check your spark plug gaps, they should be no more then 0.035"

I'm running the Holley Commander 950 with Innovate Motorsports WideBand O2. It was running so rich (10.8-11.5) it was causing the knock sensor to take out timing and causing it to break up. I retarded the timing a little at lower boost ( 13 degrees total timing at 147KPa or ~7psi) and took the air:fuel up to low 12's. It has a lot of lag unless I hold the brakes a little to spool up the twin chrysler t3's. I have two intercoolers from two '87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupes. They were top mounts on the 87's; they fit side-by-side behind the steel bumper in my Camaro, but I did shave 1/4" off of one of the intercooler flanges to make them fit better. Intake air temps are 115F-120F at 7psi. Its still on the rich side but running great now! The only weird part is that I'm famous around here now because of my car. Turbo calculators only estimate like 390hp, but the cool factor is a big part of the fame. They don't know that it has the stock (slipping) 700r4, 2.73's, an open rear, and 225-60-16's. My brother always said he's good at tuning by ear, up untill now I just thought he was lucky, but he was right on target helping me out.
Oh yeah, the plugs are set between .030 and .031. Bosch Platinums, all with the gaps facing the exhaust valves.

What is the heat range on your plugs? Hopefully you dropped 1-2 heat ranges colder than stock. You should get rid of the platinums, platinum plugs suck. Go with some copper plugs for a better spark, make sure your ignition system is up to par also. If your running rich, crappy spark could be causing it. Definetly get something to log knock. Even an MSD knock box would be better than nothing. Just my .02.

I'm going to take my friend that has a digital camera for a ride this week. Its still not that fast though. On Perring Parkway we've measured out a quater mile from a stop light to a bridge and we were only doing 110mph under the bridge. It is up alittle from stock I'd say. Plus, I'm still learning how to drive it. The turbo lag and wheel spin are hard to overcome.
