How do you think a nitrous hit will fair with my cam?

comp cams xr288 hyd roller cam... car has a rev kit, trickflow heads, LT headers, vic jr intake...

anyways, here's the link to the cam - http://www.compcams.com/Technical/Dy...8HR-10_001.asp

for those who are too lazy to click :P

520/540 lift (i/e)
236/242 dur @050
110 LSA
106 ICL

the motor puts 360hp/345trq to the wheels...

I'm just curious as to what people think about the LSA and how it will react to the nitrous... i know that 114 seems to be a more deisreable LSA for nitrous motors...

i would assume that it will be ok thought?

Steve

You'll be fine with that. A nitrous friendly wider LSA cam would be a little more efficient ( less overlap, earlier exhaust valve opening event) but if all you're looking ofr is a nice gain up to about 225 HP its not worth changing the cam.

Don't worry it will scream with the cam u have.

hehe i bet i will too...

gonna step from 100 to 150 on the dyno, then probably see how it does with a 200... get my jetting set and i should be good to go - also have an lm1 box so i can monitor my a/f at the track...

gonna toss a window switch in the loop, fp swtich, use my msd 6+ box to pull timing, and a set of slicks... hopin to run in the 10's with the 150... car went 12.08 @114 on motor with a 1.79 60'

Meant to say "Any more info on the car." I also put down 355rwhp and wanted to compare vehicle weight, gear, tires, engine, tranny, ET, MPH, etc. You can PM it to me so I don't ***** up you original post. Thanks.

Dunno if you'll get to 10's with just a 150 shot, probably low 11's though. I'm shooting for 10.90's with a 250 shot soon as I get a taller tire. A friend of mine runs close to what you run (11.96 @ 114) and he'll be doing a 125 shot, have to see what he does on the 20th.

free bird - 3600 with me in it, 3.55 gears, dana 44 rear, WC t-5, 315 nitto dr's, 12.08 @114, 1.79 60' blew the fronts up to like 65lbs, and drove the **** out of it down the track lol... i do have a trq arm and all the rear suspension stuff.... the car hooks HARD and i can go almost right to WOT in 1st gear with minimal wheelspin... -3.5* of pinion angle...

Evil... yeah im trying to be optomistic we'll see! low 11's will make me happy too... its hard to guage things - it take more power to go faster when your fast to begine with!
