2 Fuel pumps broken???
i have two big blue billet vortech fuel pumps in series.I run about 20 psi of boost. At idle my fuel pressure is at 45 psi. So 45+20= 65 psi fuel pressure at full boost. When i go full boost my fuel pressure does not go above 50 psi.So i ran a test where u had to run the pumps and adjust the fuel regualtors to 65 psi. U then took fuel out the return and measured how long it took to fill a gallon. Well in three minutes i didnt have a half gallon.i was told i should have at least 150 gl/hr flow at that pressure. Is it common for fuel pumps to go bad like this??? do they offer rebuild kits??

also how long have you been street driving these pumps? most of these pumps although some will last a while on the street, others won't. Its not a "by brand" thing. Its more of a "by luck" thing.

my mistake the pumps are installed parallel.each pump feeds it`s own fuel rail.
I have 1 aeromotive A1000 and was thinking of getting another one to replace the 2 paxton pumps.

are you running an FMU? Im guessing from the "So 45+20= 65 psi " comment that you are not. Try the single A1000 and a trip to the dyno to see if it is ok. Also consider having the other two pumps flow dynoed.

My fuel system is setup for two pumps ,i would have to plug the other side up.I called up Paxton about my problem , the first thing they told me was the pumps i have are old and no longer carried by paxton. They wanted to sell me two replacement pumps for $545 each. but I already have 1 brand new a1000 pump and would just need another one.The thing is im hearing good and bad stuff about the aeromotive pump.
