Is my setup ready for boost? Or should I do more?

Is my setup ready for boost? Or should I do more?
I really dont know much about boost, but I wanna start studying now. I have a basically stock ZZ1 motor with a performer rpm intake, a holley 700cfm double pumper, msd 6al, accel distributor. I have edelbrock headers and a flowmaster exhaust. I just had my trans rebuilt to handle quite a bit too. What else should I look out for when planning for boost? What are the advantages of turbo vs s/c on a daily driven car (not really, but will be driven a fair amount and will be only car). Also, what about centrifugal s/c versus other kinds? I really like the looks of the centrifugal s/c cause you can barely even tell its there on a carb car. Just looks like a tube, a hat, and another accesory on the front of the motor. I am not looking for the best possible gains. Im looking a little bit at mileage, and just want some easy power without having to go internal on a pretty good motor. What will I need to do to make this a reality?

First thing to do is check what your static compression is and what cam you have. The cam determines the dynamic compression along with the static compression.
I am not pro-turbo or proc-sc. The nice thing about a turbo is that you can drive around normally and not have it boosting (or leaking / bleeding off air) and it will be quite. If you drive normal you get about the same gas mileage as you have now. A SC needs a bleed valve in order to get the same mileage with normal driving.
Turbo will require a lot of fab work. A welding machine (MIG preferred) or friend with one is needed. Cost can vary from cheap to very expensive depending on how well you are at finding good deals on used parts. SC is more simple to install if you run low boost and buy a stock kit. Either way, once you try the boost you won't want to go without it.

the compression of my motor is 9.8:1. i dunno if thats what you were talkin about though.
also cam specs are 235/235 (which im pretty sure is too long for turbo) @.050, .480/.480 and 114 lsa.
