To turbo or not to turbo

I was thinking of going with a twin turbo setup this year on my 86 Iroc. It currently has a 383 stroker with a full forged rotating assembly. The compression is 10:1. I ve heard that oh just run a intercooler and meth injection and it will be fine then ive hear your gonna blow it up due to the high compression ratio. So i need to know what you guys think the engine is currently out of the car and i coud get some new pistons and get everything balanced but im already looking at prob 3k in turbo parts on top of that. Also how much did you pay for your turbo setup??

you be fine turboing that motor think of all the people turboing honda motors that have 10.2 -11 to 1 compresion with no problems. so have no fear in that. as for the money its really up to you are you tring to make it look all fancey or are you just tring to get the job done you can expect anywhere from $750-the sky is the limit.

do you have any idea how much a turbo setup will run you?? you cannot just go and buy a turbo kit for our cars.. you have to build it.. do you even know what turbo(s) you will use?? and at 10:1 compression, i would run 12psi intercooled max..

on another note, i would get that motor running top shape before deciding to turbo.. a 383 with the right parts, tune and suspension setup will run in the low-mid 11's on pumpgas.. how fast do you want to go??

you have 5 posts on this site.. go do a search on turbo stuff..
