Anyone use Aircraft turbos yet?
I was thinking since one can get garret aircraft turbos for not that much at surplus how well would them work in a thirdgen??

Giving more specs is the only way to get real info.
Looking at the pics, the turbine is giant compared to the compressor and I wouldn't even think about puting one on a car engine.

you wouldnt have much luck running those on an automotive engine I reckon. As an aircraft mechanic I can tell you these turbos are way to big for your sbc. There used to running on engines about 540 cubic inches and better, and they provide about 2psi of boost to these engines, just eneough to make the engine behave as tho it were at sea level when its at 10,000 feet.

Even though aircraft engines may have big cubes, they usually spin low rpms (under 3000 rpms). There are different sized engines too - 540 cid, 360, 320, etc...
