ya know, looking back on what I typed, it really doesnt make sense lol, but I do know that the cobras with the iron blocks handle slightly better than those with the aluminum blocks... ford engineers...

I woul imagine running a turbo big enough to feed 8 cylinders on only 4 of those cylinders would create a huge amount of turbo lag... the BBS design uses a crossover pipe that connects the driver...

I noticed the same thing about that intake valve. Also, the valves are surrounded by so much metal that is you wanted to unshroud them you would probably be right back at a 64cc chamber if not more.

they look like alignment marks.... piston pins are off centered and "need" to be installed with the pin offset to one side... looks like it is for directional purposes.

I had the same exact problem with my 383 after just about the same mileage, pulled the heads off to swap them and wham, wanted to cry. the only difference is my motor only showed that wear on the #5...
