Thanks for the reply.I was always under the impression that the later 700's were a bit stronger than earlier ones.Better internals.Maybe I was thinking of the corvette 700.Oh well thanks!

Couple questions about the 700.

1.Is there a difference in strength and torque rating between a 700 behind a 305 and and a 350?
2.What 700 trans are the "better" ones?*88 and up,89 and up?

I guess you can,but the mods usually take anyone 2 to 8 hours to complete. I just don't have the time to do it myself. I'd rather buy it already done from someone who has done it a few times.

There is no base or upper. The lt1 is a one piece unit.
