Engine surging

I own a 91 z28, just recently i started havin a problem with it. When i went to my sons school to pick him up, i parked my car and after about 5 mins heard a loud bang like something had hit my car....

wal mart has 3rd gen camaros and 4th gen camaros for sale. the 3rdgen ones are 84-85 if i remember correctly so they wont have the highrise spoiler. ill take a pic of the few ones i got in a few mins...

i had the same prob a few years ago and it turned out to be a bad distributor. i had replaced everything else related with ignition and nothing happened. might wanna try that.

well i checked my fuel pressure and its at about 43. looks like the motor is getting fuel. i checked for spark off the number 1 plug wire and when i held it to the manifold i didnt see any spark....

my car has been acting wierd for a few weeks now. at first it didnt start but i got that figured out. now sometimes when its idling when i first start it, the rpms will drop almost all the way down...
