Re: How to Diagnose You Hatch Pull Down Issue

My latch goes up but won't pull down. After a half hour of testing, I found the plug on the motor loose. If I giggle it, the latch will pull down, but if I stop, it goes back up. As a temporary fix,...

Re: Hatch Pull-Down Help Desperately Needed!

Unless I'm mistaken, that relay is just to activate the cargo light. If you look at the diagram, the load side sends ground to the light. Nothing else.

Rear disc brake for 88 Camero 2.8L

Someone stuffed a big motor in and the rear drum brakes look silly. I see conversion kits for $400 being sold with noname calipers, pads and rotors with the brackets hoses and lines and e-brake...

Re: Hood Struts for fiberglass hood-Help

Just installed a pair of FCS struts #84134 from Rock Auto for $6 each. Not too strong but just right on my aftermarket fiberglass hood. With the old worn struts I had to jiggle the hood to get one...

Re: Which hood shocks for fiberglass hood?

What I have learned is steel hoods use one long shock and fiberglass has 2 short shocks. Ordered some $6 ones from Rock Auto.

Which hood shocks for fiberglass hood?

I can get Sachs SG430001 for steel hoods for only $8. Any reason they shouldn't be used on fiberglass hoods?

Which oil pressure sender do I need for this SBC with V6 cluster?

This is a '88 Camaro that originally came with the 2.8L engine and oil pressure gauge reads to 80 psi. Most of the clusters in V8 models I see only go to 60 psi. Do they use the same sender? Repair...

Re: How can I add a 145 or 150 mph speedo overlay to a 115 mph speedo and make it wor

Got under the car for the first time and WOW, never expected that. Welded in tubular chassis stiffeners, 4 inch diameter exhaust, electric exhaust cutout. No wonder this thing sounds like an uncorked...

Re: How can I add a 145 or 150 mph speedo overlay to a 115 mph speedo and make it wor

That is an ACDelco part so GM apparently uses them. This is for a modified car with a built motor and a 115mph speedo just looks silly. Accuracy isn't the price concern, just that it should be better...

Re: How can I add a 145 or 150 mph speedo overlay to a 115 mph speedo and make it wor

How about using a 0.750 adapter on the speedometer cable like

Say my 115mph speedo is showing 60. I put on the 150mph overlay and...

Re: monster tach mounting location

How did you mount that in the stock hole? Aren't those tachs 4 or 5 inches deep?

Re: How can I add a 145 or 150 mph speedo overlay to a 115 mph speedo and make it wor

Wish it was that simple. Currently mine is the upper left one. If I install the middle lower overlay the needle will point to 80 when I was doing 60 on the original one.

I'm not following what he is saying. Does he mean there is a "little computer attached to the speedo" of a 115mph version and removing it with cause the speedometer to read like the 145mph style? You...

How can I add a 145 or 150 mph speedo overlay to a 115 mph speedo and make it work?

Have a 1988 model with a 115 mph speedometer and the last owner installed whiteface overlays on all the gauges including a 115 mph white speedo. If I put on a 145 or 150 mph overlay, how do I make...

Which Camaros were sold in '88?

Just bought this modified '88, don't care for the graphics.

https://www.fototime.com/A5C37C8C8B5636C/xlarge.jpg

Painted graphics on the both sides of the hood, fenders, doors. Any advice on removing them without paintwork?
