There isnt a real significant improvement by upgrading the rear brakes on these cars. Thats why many just upgrade out of convenience. The pre 89 calipers are junk, but upgrading to aluminum calipers...

I could be wrong but I don't believe HEI allows for a proper lockout of timing. Also, the HEI pickup is different than a coil driven pickup and can't be phased as well.

Yeah not much clearance at all on the wagon wheels, but plenty on the ZR1's.
