for the two screws behind the glass, I used a small ratcheting socket and one of those detachable screwdriver heads to put them in and take them out, was not an easy project but it got it done.

Unless the math is bad, 1400 rpm at 60 mph should be about right for O/D gear in a 700r4.
As far as the dropping gears under acceleration, I would make sure your TV cable is adjusted properly.

Be mindful when you get them there may be some fitment issues, I had to re drill and screw or rivet mine into place for a few holes. That aside, the ones from 1Aauto are great quality.

I had a Quick Time Performance cutout installed years ago, pretty sure it came with a mini Y pipe too, you could probably get something similar and have a shop put the flange on so it'll bolt up
