I'm using the same key from my '89 set up...that's why I thought my 88 computer might not have VATS, because it's working w/ a key that is made for another computer.

Yeah, I did check the park....wasn't the cause. But i'm planning on checking out the starter when I get back. The way it's grinding, sounds like it's moving foward but but not catching all the way....

Took me the better part of 4-5 days. I had an '89 w/ a 350TBI, 700R4, and swapped in a TPI setup for an '88 350 w/ 700R4, so it was all compatable. As far as the cables, you'll need a new TV cable...
