I had the same problem with my 89 iros, bought it from some bi*ch and you could push on the drivers side rear of the car and it would move from side to side like 2 inches, Looked it over and found...

Yep thats what mine does but unlike yours it will still cool down to 160 when I turn the ac off, no matter what temp it is outside...

Car has new pump, radiator, hoses, and 160 degree thermostat. Timing is 10 degrees advance at idle.

Whats up everyone, I have searched the message boards and can't find this on, but anyways, I have an 89 iroc with the 5.7 tpi engine. I just recharged my AC and the car is now overheating whenever...

Just to let you all know I am a licensed AC person, So There isn't too much freon in the ac system, I vacuumed down the system and then charged it.

Put a high flow fuel pump on it and a regultor, you need a constant 7-9 psi to your carbeurator and the stock fuel pump cant provide that, I would suggest getting an electric pump, just make sure you...

Check ebay theres a guy on there that sales a 180 amp alternator that looks just like the factory alternator, also you can goto autozone and they have the 140 amp alternator there that is the same...
