Re: There is more to audio than Alpine, Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood, etc

Actually, I have to agree, here. Some of the "lesser-known" names have better quality because the company focuses on quality rather than quantity. But, when recommending audio equipment to people...

Re: 15" subbox HELP!

I've built several boxes, but as I don't know the dimensions of the cargo area in a Camaro, I can't give you exact dimensions. Are you looking for a ported or sealed box? There is a chance I can...

Re: Factory bose speakers blown

Sounds more like the cones are cracked. Bose speakers take longer than delco speakers to crack, but they still do it. Depending on how much you want to spend, there are a couple of routes you can go....

Pioneer TS-W308D4
Alpine SWR-1223D
Alpine SWR-1242D
Pioneer TS-W3002D2 (Highly recommended)
Kenwood Excelon KFC-XW12R (my second choice)

Five should be enough, right? :imo:

Re: delco problems

Well, at the very least, atleast you found out your speakers aren't blown. LOL I find it odd that three Delcos would have the same problem back to back. But, you're right, $15 is a good deal.

Re: Single Sub Box

If you want, I can make you a box. Just offering. Contact me with the info on the sub and I'll figure up a price for the box. Don't know how much shipping will be, though. These are things to keep in...

Re: Rusty Floor Pan - Video included

Okay, question. Have you ever had eny expereince with GMAW (MIG)? I ask because it's not quite as easy as it looks, especially on a lap joint of 20ga. Trust me, I've done it. But the first several...

Re: 1A AUTO !!!!!!!!!!!!

Not Camaro related but I made my first 1a order today. Great price! Needed an upper control arm - driver's side for an '02 Trailblazer. Dealer wanted $200 for the part. 1a? $64. Can't wait to get it...

Want an '83? I can pick you one up, good driving condition (I test drove it), needs an oil pan (not sure what happened there) and head cover gaskets. Maybe the bolt on the front end of the motor to...

Re: Need engine (rivershark's can o' worms pt 1)

How much you asking?

five7kid- I'll give it a try, but I'm also considering holding off just a little longer than I had originally thought. Some issues are forming that might make me want to wait...

Re: New stereo intro! Pretty cool!

This is an awesome technology, especially when in a higher resolution display. Although, I will admit, that one looks awesome. The Kenwood Excelon decks offer this program for the OEL display models....

Re: Quick component speaker wiring question.

Just split your positive connection in two and connect both. These speakers were actually supposed to come with a crossover when hey were first designed. CV makes some strange products, though. Sound...

Re: Quick component speaker wiring question.

If we're talking the same speakers (CV HED46 plates), you'll want to wire both positives in together. How you do this is up to you, but we typically use a splitter to pull two wires off of one to...

Re: Need engine (rivershark's can o' worms pt 1)

Okay, I talked to DH's wife tonight. 8th digit F in VIN. However, he is pulling the computer and all. He is putting the engine into some truck, so I take it I am far more screwwed than I thought.

Re: Need engine (rivershark's can o' worms pt 1)

That's where I get lost. Here's what I know. Wife's car is an '87 Z28, auto. That's ALL I know. As I said, I know very little about cars.

As far as a JY donor, I'm not even sure what I should be...

Re: delco problems

Typically speaking, even higher end aftermarket speakers will respond to the wattage put out by a factory deck. But, a few questions with explanations.

Did the PO have an aftermarket head unit...
