The padding might be puffed out creating some sort of illusion. You can tell from the engine bay side, the firewall is straight. No damage or anything.

It's crazy how I tried to make the holes...

I can get the purple 7 teeth drive gear. It the 21 driven that's elusive as you guys have mentioned.

I said "I counted 10 bolts on the ring gear (not the cover)" because I read that it's a common mistake to count the bolts on the cover. :confused:

Did you check out the pics in my link? TTOP350 says it's cone type posi, which you say references the 9 bolt, yet I counted 10 bolts on the ring gear. (Not the cover...lol)

My T5 is from a '92 305tbi so it should have the .63 5th gear which I'm hoping will help a little.

Not being the richest man in the world, I think I'll see how it rolls first and buy new gears...
