1991 Polished Z28 Wheels

Straight from Thirdgenranch, polished and painted arctic white.

Blocks for Sanding

I am getting closer to doing final preparations on the body for paint. That final prep will be the block sanding but I first need some blocks. Leave a reply letting me know which blocks you're using...

Last batch for today. Did find some bondo I wasn't aware of in the passenger door. There were also some nasty chips under the molding. We'll get it repaired though.

Right now I am just using Krylon primer (rattle can) so I can protect the surface and see imperfections as I go.

The next major body work to do will be the driver side ground effects. Previous owners screwed a few of them on and they need to be properly fixed. Outside of that, the body just needs more sanding...

Last for today was the passenger quarter. It was in the worse shape. The previous paint job was horrible in this area but after a couple of hours it now is nice and smooth.

Received the roof rail weather strip and the hatch weather strip. Also talked to Denny from Thirdgenranch last night and he said that they just finished my rims and would be shipping today or Monday....

I would have given $5500 for that one too; it looks real good. I think I'll end up a little bit better than that amount after I do an engine and trans rebuild next year (just to know it is done).

I'm glad I did some reading on the reproduction pads before buying, I was ready to add it to my cart. Although I am a bit perplexed that nothing of decent quality is available.
