I've had a few fuel pressure issues. I replaced the original fuel pump with an Airtex. failed in a few weeks. I returned it and bought a Bosch unit. Ran well for a while, but the car begane failing....

The poor beast has me at wits end. A simple question. I replaced fuel pump and still get no pressure at fuel rail. The filter is relatively new. The fitting at fuel rail looks like an air fitting....

I think I got the pump in correctly. Also retrieved retention washer from tank. Lucky it was empty!

Where is the oil pressure switch? My 85 has the pump wired into the ignition, so when the key is turned it runs with engine on or not. Would like to get it straightened out so it works as designed.

At the minimum run the twelve volts from the ignition wiring so it will not run if the key is not on. It is still a safty issue in the case of a crash,:idiot: but for a one time drive it's your call....

I agree with 89EsPower. I've only had my Z28 for a year and experienced the whine. I replaced fuel pump and the whine is gone. But it doesn't matter since I'm not an original owner! :lmao:

My only concern is that ordering OEM caps for a Camaro or Z28 may not fit the GTA wheels. I don't really want Firebird centercaps on a chevy. If they are interchangable then it is a done deal....
