Do I see "Dart Iron Eagle 200" on that head? If so, I've got the same heads on my 385!

Re: What is best way to slow car down

Sounds like the NMCA True Street class. Easiest way to slow down is add weight or restrict throttle from going 100%(make a creative limiter out of extra padding under the pedal or something). Both...

Re: street/strip weight ?

3500# race weight on a full tank. I'm a lightweight at 130#, so the car with less fuel is around 3300#. Pretty much stock, power everything, AC, factory rims. No cage, no subframe connectors (I know,...

Re: What are everyone's winter project plans?

I feel your pain, I'm about 11:1 with iron heads, and a comp xe268 grind. I mix 93 and 110 50/50, because I know that cam isn't bleeding enough compression off :(

Putting up for a sale a bunch of my mild/moderate performance parts, I've stepped up my game a bit. Swapped to a carb setup because the car is 99% bracket raced, and the fuel injection didn't have...

Re: Bracket racing tips from Biondo

That'd be Nasty Nick Hastings, and I can agree with you on that perspective. Like Mark said, holding a tenth or more is a bit excessive. I don't see anything wrong with holding 2-3 hun though.

Re: Bracket racing tips from Biondo

If you're hitting the limiter crossing the stripe all out, you've got something wrong with your setup. Hitting the brakes, giving the throttle a few chops, that's not sandbagging. If my opponent...

Re: Bracket racing tips from Biondo

Do you really think there's such a thing as sandbagging in bracket racing? Holding numbers is more of a strategy. Regardless, they still have to kill x amount of et or mph. What do you mean by "get...

Re: 11 seconds?

Re: First time at the track and man was it bad I need help

Matt has said it so many times before in this thread. You need tires. Now. Don't bother with a "base line" on street tires. It won't tell you a darn thing. All it will tell you is that you're...

About the same as me, 1.67-1.69. I've been as low as 1.66, but the car didn't like leaving higher on the converter and actually gave me a slower ET than leaving off say 1500. Not sure why my car...
