I think I may have solved this problem if this helps anyone. The pigtail going to the fuel relay had some bare wires. The plastic tab the holds the relay was broke off, so my relay was flopping...

Does anyone know if the fuel pumps work off of the oil sending sensor? I remember some of the 80's cars had that set up.

Any updates on this? I am have the same problem with an 89 305 TBI. I replaced the fuel pump and fuel regulator. And when I take the cap off, sounds like it has vacuum. Maybe my cap is bad.

Thanks. Not sure it will work. Interchange manual says it has to be 89-90 with a manual tranny. Someone said the autos have the cruise control on them(a cable?) I was thinking maybe the auto TB had...
