89 305 TBI cranks alot before starting, need help
I have an 89 tbi 305 Camaro.
It has a TBI off an 90 GMC with a 350, besides that it's all original equipment.
It cranks probably 20 times before starting after sitting for a few hours.
I changed the fuel pump & fuel regulator.
I am just getting this car going w/rebuilt engine. I have had vacuum in the gas tank, so maybe the vacuum vent(white) near the tank isn't working, so I loosened the gas cap and no differece. It runs great after starting.
Does anyone have any ideas? This car has sat for 7-8 years, so I don't know about the evap canister, but like I said, the engine is all rebuilt. On the TBI, I haven't done anything with the ICA valve or injectors.
Oh, and last year when I first started driving the car a bit, it wasn't doing this.
Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Does anyone know if the fuel pumps work off of the oil sending sensor? I remember some of the 80's cars had that set up.

I think I may have solved this problem if this helps anyone. The pigtail going to the fuel relay had some bare wires. The plastic tab the holds the relay was broke off, so my relay was flopping around and twisted the wires, which where bare right at the relay. Looks like someone maybe messed with the wires before. Starting normal now.
