Re: WTB/Trade for 3rd Gen

Figure will give it one more go before I just take the risk of selling the second gen and hoping I can find a 3rd or 4th gen car to replace it.

Re: Why are our cars not all that desirable?

I think the 4L60E is more of an issue than opti-spark. :p I like the LT1, it's not so bad with the later revised opti-spark. Being I leave my cars mostly stock anyway I prefer it to a degree over...

Re: Why are our cars not all that desirable?

The LT1 4th gens are desirable provided they have the T-56, they're also near impossible to find. I'd only been looking forever until I gave up and bought my '79. If you're into automatics the L98...

Re: wtf rockauto shipping charges

I've noticed this before myself, and it's mildly aggravating. You'd think they could just do flat rate shipping for a lot of it, save some money but oh well. Still beats having to go to the parts...

Re: Why are our cars not all that desirable?

I have to give the nod to the blue and silver T/A, but I hate red. Don't get me wrong it's a nice car, so nothing taken away there. Hell, my car is red and not by choice. You know what I mean...

Re: Parts store guys don't go to Autozone!

I don't have an AutoZone nearby, so even if they would price match I'm out fuel and time. That and I just really despise going out shopping, self-checkout at Hell-Mart is a godsend.

Re: Parts store guys don't go to Autozone!

I only buy from RockAuto, Amazon, and eBay. Mainly for the fact the prices are better 99% of the time and it limits my contact with human exposure.

It's the Zeta platform though, the VIN can say whatever it wants it has no relation to the F-body whatsoever. It replaced the V-body, the F is just for reverence.

Re: Mods for better efficiency 305!

Stock tire diameter varied from 25.65" to 26.18" and yours is right in the middle. I would just hold out for the later V8 T5 as it'd better suit your car, naturally, along with the better overdrive....
