Bad torque converter ??

Hey guys, what are some of the symptoms of a torque converter going out or bad ? I'm asking because all of a sudden my 87 T/A bracket car slowed down & has no bottom end power. Not even enough...

Forgot to add that I'm running stock wheels & tires on the street then at the track I put on a pair of 16x8 Iroc wheels with P245/50R16 NT555R Extreme Drag Radials for more consistency.
