Re: 1986 trans am running problems

Do you have any oil in it? Fuel pump won't run after a few seconds if there is no oil pressure or the computer does not get a pulse from the ignition.

Re: TPI ignitions/fuel problems. HELP!

The only reason you would get 70 psi with a new regulator is a plugged return system as ploegi said. That's it and it must be fixed. Maybe not the line itself but something is keeping the fuel...

Re: 86 TA 305 TPI fuel problem

There are YouTube videos on cutting a port, and plenty of discussion on how to do it and if you should do it. I do know that 20 psi won't hack it with a TPI. Our pump was replaced with a TBI...

I think they called it pulse, and you would either need to look inside the wiper switch on the steering wheel or in the motor module.
The switch has some resistors in it which the non pulse does...

Re: Ignition Control Module keeps going bad!!!!

Did you replace the coil? If it has some shorted windings, it may be stressing the ICM. It will still produce spark but not as hot and pull more current.

Probably not, but it depends how you plumbed around it. Since you live in NY you probably plumbed all the coolant through the heater core. This will reduce the effectiveness of the AC.
