I am using my old crank in a new(er) block I got. I know stock journals are 2.45 main 2.10 rods.
My journals are
mains 2.435 - 2.440
Rods are 2.092-2.094

Can I use standard size on rods and...

Well here it is, 1984 LG4 $85 for block ,pistons&rods. 110k miles , no ridge at top of cylinders, still has crosshatch left. Bearings don't look bad, but gonna be replaced anyway.

It's the 305 lu5 block the car came with. People around here are crazy , asking $400 for a 305 with no heads.wish I could find someone giving one away. So guess I'm gonna hit the pull a part yards...

Just a ltitle update. Engine apart for rebuild, A/C delete, computer and all unused Wiring removed.(harness intact not ripped out) engine bay painted gloss black. Started doing some spot rust removal...

sending unit wire

I have my sending unit cleaned up , bad pump removed and ready to mod for carb pick up.
I took apart the mechanism for float arm cleaned and it now reads from 1.87 - 89 ohms. While not perfect...

Thanks, it will be getting a muffler again just not that factory stuff. It not as loud as I thought it would be. My titan is LOUD with just the cat and no muffler.

I have it running , just wanted to see if it sounds ok to someone other than me.
It's a LU5 car converted to carb. I just dropped the tank to clean it so this is with only the cat and short section...

No damage to body that I can recall. Missing ttops,seats, all weather stripping ,, and the stuff I pulled off it. Hood, rear spoiler, those caps to cover top of shock tower. :)

Hmmm. I have all the panels out of cargo area from removing the hack job stereo install that was in it. I'll mock it up tomorrow . If it won't work I'll probably pass it along to someone who can use...

Well the acid soak did the trick. It's all clean shiny metal again inside. Neutralized, triple rinsed, sucked up all water and junk with shop vac. Turns out no rust in tank at all.

I decided that I want to go with a carb because its simple and I like old school . we are keeping this a budget build so i hit CL again . scored a holley 4160 off a running engine and got a intake...

Yeah it is some nasty stuff , but the tank will be flushed about 10 times and pressure washed by the time I get to the acid. It will also be filled with water again to dilute the acid . Let it sit...

There's no way this tank could be cleaned still in the car. I'm going to take the pressure washer to it tomorrow, and then use some muratic acid on it to get the funk out. Then I'll see how the rust...
