Re: 91 firebird has no power at all

I tested everything and I got power through them but it was drawing down when some were connected. I ended up finding a broken ground and a poor ground. I put eyes on them before and somehow...

Re: 91 firebird has no power at all

91 firebird has no power at all

Ok so 2 weeks ago I swapped to long tube headers. A mistake was made during installation and the starter wire welded to the header and melted the battery wires. I replaced the pos and neg battery...

Re: What are gauges run off of in 91 camaro?

Possible, some years the vss was part of the ecm I believe. I have a 91 firebird (was 305 tbi) it had a seperate vss. Only wire that went to the ecm was the high speed cut off. Dakota digital box...

Re: What's normal operation for the SGI-5

Its connected to the ecm to shut off after whatever speed it was, 110mph maybe? Either way I pulled my factory buffer. After some troubleshooting I have a smooth speedo from 0 to jail time.

Re: This is a master list of what youll need for TPI to Carb Swap in 2016

The water temp gauge reads from the sensor on the drivers side head. Theres a clip that slides on it, I think it should be a green wire coming from the body harness also on the drivers side. That...

Re: Difference between vortec & pre-vortec blocks

Vortec blocks have an external coolant bypass. If you are swapping to an 880 you will need to plumb that in, it is very easy. Some of the 880 blocks were machined for mec fuel pump also, non of the...

Re: Buy an IROC with a 5 speed or auto trans.

Im doing what Big Gear Head is suggesting, somewhat. Building everything behind the engine rather than risk breaking some nasty stuff. t56 swap on a 5 speed car is easy and awesome.

Re: T-56 speedo/dakota digital

Never mind I was able to figure things out. After looking at some pins The out feeds from "C" on the harness. Sounds like this is generally green when the buffer is yellow but mine was tan or peachy....

T-56 speedo/dakota digital

Ok so long story short I dropped the t5 from my 91 formula in favor of a T-56. I picked up a Dakota Digital SGI-5C to correct my speedo. After cruising every thread I could find several times over...
