Re: Fragment Found on Oil Drain Plug. An update.

That's quite the failure!

Metal fatigue I would say - given the mileage (IE not a "defect" per-se) - and probably a poorly chosen alloy for the application - or the bars/rivets were not...

Re: Need Bosch MAF for 86 TA TPI 5 liter

Too much. Delete that junk and go to speed density. Either with a 7730 or a stand-alone engine management. No reason ON EARTH to keep the MAF.

Re: Need to replace smog pump. Auto parts stores no longer carry smog pumps for our c

All the one's I have seen are electric from the 90's till current model year. Most manufacturers had to add them back in in the mid-2000's for cold start, etc.

Actually they are quite common. You haven't heard of the Toyota recalls related to the air injection valves obviously. All the modern air injection systems use electric pumps.

Realistically none of that will benefit significantly from e-tuning. Other than lowering fan temps to match the thermostat. But Brian is your best bet.

Bore it oversized. But only as much as is needed. Keep as much material in the block as you can. If 0.010" over will do, then leave it at that and buy pistons accordingly.

Run a main line hone...

Re: are my oxygen sensor readings normal in mV with TunerProRT???

They work great if you have problems with dropping into open loop at idle in cold weather, etc. Had one when I was still using a stock/modded-stock ECU (yuck).

Re: Why isn't my 5v ecm reference getting to the tps?

Do you have 5v at the MAP sensor? Should be on the same 5v supply from the ECM. There are no fuses - circuit protection is provided by the ECM itself.

Re: Why isn't my 5v ecm reference getting to the tps?

If you aren't getting the 5v reference from the ECU (and that 5v is good at the ECU connector), then you have a wiring issue and you don't have 5v going to the TPS. You need to trace the wiring and...

Re: 11:1 compression on 87 octane possible?
