Easy check for correct RPM.s & speed with the 700R4. In OD the tach @ 1000 RPM.s and the speedo @ 40 MPH....at a steady speed.

You will need to weld in a new battery tray. That tray is part of the fender support structure. I had to do that on my car.

No one as mentioned the benefit if the additional quart of oil added with the long (2-qt) filter. For me that additional quart with out adding a larger oil pan is major for me.

I have used the longer (2-qt) truck oil filter on my 87 IROC-Z28 since its first oil change over 30 years ago with no problems.

No, those .187 thick spacers are not required. They were first installed to cover a Engr. Dept, error and when the original stock was used they were discontinued.

LG4 was the standard engine on the 1987 IROC-Z28 with the 305 TPI ($749.00 extra) & 350 TPI ($1150.00 extra). Note: these two TPI's were EXTRA COST OPTIONS and NOT standard on any IROC-Z28.

Solve your problem and buy a Wells Maf SU-145 for about $100. Do a search on this site about this Maf, it uses a film and not a hot wire for air flow.

A/C stopped working, so I had it refilled with R134 and it started cooling. However, it will blow cold air (48 deg) then after ten minutes or so it will blow warm air about (70/75 deg) then repeat...
