Re: Looking at purchasing some long tube headers

Mw66nova modded a set of hedman longtubes to work with a t5 years ago. Might search around for it if you want longtubes. As far as dents and dings in headers, they won't usually cost enough flow to...

Re: Looking at purchasing some long tube headers

2460s don't come with the o2 bung drilled. They do come with it welded though iirc. I've used those and like them. Again, can't comment on the ypipe I've never used one.

Re: Looking at purchasing some long tube headers

My hedman shorties always leaked. Can't comment on the ypipe cause I had duals made. Otherwise they fit pretty good. I'd look into the hooker 2055 if you're going shorty. They cost a little more, but...

Re: trans temp gauge manifold size???

I think I used a dab of grey silicone. I think I ran out of tape earlier in the day and I needed it done. Not leaking yet, so I guess it's working. Lol

Test port will work. It'll give an approximate reading, but there's plenty of people using them. Keep in mind that the trans temp sender is npt and the transmission case is straight thread,...

Also make sure your vacuum line isn't collapsing under vacuum. Happened on my old 85 and it kept killing transmissions. I sold it, then figured out the issue.

Re: LG4 to 5.7L vortec w/LT4 Hotcam

Should be cable driven speedo right? As long as the cable isn't broken and the drive gears for it aren't broken, it should work fine. If it's not working I'd check the cable first.

Re: My CC Qjet is great but...

You've got 3.23s still? You shouldn't be turning anywhere near 4000 rpm at 65. My 84 with a turbo 350 turns about 2800 at 65. Regardless 10-12 out of a stock engine is ridiculous.
