Thanks for the reply. I heated the thermostat and dropped in the manifold while fully open, it would definitely bottom out with the water neck bolted on. i will get one of these block off plates.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. Lots of good ideas and fabrication skills. I will add some extra bracing that ties onto the Alston subframe connectors that are welded in.

I gave the slip joint a good beating. The #8 tube still slides in and out. Good clearance now. Will it leak? I'll find out when I get it running.

Has anybody dimpled the #8 slip joint on Hooker LT 2210's. Mine are hitting the lower A arm mount. I've notched the mount as much as I dare, and the tube is still touching. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Lack of time and fitment problems have the project at a standstill. The throttle arm contacts the fuel rail. Factory tpi throttle cable is too short. Not sure how to plumb the fuel system to pass...
