Got the distibutor and wires today! Rushed home to install. Distributor had a damged vacuum nipple for the advance :( Got all the wires custom fit and installed. Summit is shipping a new one out...

You got it! Apply air to cylinder once at TDC of the desired one. Use your compression tester (but be sure to remove the valve core in the end before using). You can thread a nipple on that...

With your start/stall issue once warm I would look towards the MAF. Try unplugging it when it stalls and dies then try it. It should default to a predetermined set of parameters and run without it.

If you have air going into the engine it needs to be seen by the Mass Air Flow Sensor. So if your breather tube is disconnected from the air snorkel the MAF cannot see that. I'm not sure how...
