Yep upgrade the gears and exhaust first. It will feel like a different car. Then you're all setup for a 350 or larger later when you want even more.

I'm on my third year running them and no issues. I'm only running 1.5's at .492 lift but I bring it up to 6000 rpms all the time. Running LS3 Beehives and Comp 787 retainers for the extra clearance.

Fast355 that cam seems a little small for a 383??? Did you list the wrong cam? I'd imagine all it would do is smoke tires and have no top end with a single plane manifold.

It sounds like a low voltage issue. Get 12 volts to it and see if its stops. Mine does it too. If the starter clicks its getting juice and has nothing to do with VATS.
