Re: 1988 1LE Simple Questions

I have never checked if any of the 1988 players cars had 1LE. I will give it a look. That would be quite a surprise. Ill say 99% that none were 1LE.

Re: 1LE Brakes - some history

The EAR part which is next to the large bolts bolt makes this a 1988 only part. the rounded EAR was removed in later castings. In 88, the parts were ground to fit (on my 88 players cars). 89...

In 89, only the 1LE cars got the revised tank. In 1990, any port injection should have had it. Racing led to better production parts. You can read the parts books and see the change over in...

It is an early article as the abutment brackets are 1988 only versions. These are the same one on the 88 players cars. In 89 they were revised to have better clearance to the spindles. I suspect...

The Players cars were bolt in. Main hoop and rear bars are welded. Forward bars, halo, and door all bolt in.

They don't have the front halo or upper bars. Just the hoop and angled down door bars. Which are way easier to get in and out of! For street duty ... the full cage is a pain. no room.

depends on the mounting surface. If it is smooth, then 2nd. If it has the reliefs where the casting date is, then third.
