if you dropped your car and are running long tube headers avoid train tracks curbs and speed bumps just saying and if street driven use extreme angles to navigate those situations...

just had a set redone 500 bucks to the machine shop so you are abit high on price given the cost of a new set. guides seals and 3 angle valve job and surfaced is what I had done.:doh:

lol 11.5 to 1 on the Harley no problems on pump gas 11.34 to 1 I have to pull timing out in the chevy v8 probally has something to do with fuel distribution hmmm 10 to 1 lol:thumbsup:

I am not familiar with that camshaft but I'm at 11.34 to 1 and I run premium with out spark knock but have to pull some timing out. 10 to 1 is a good bench mark from what I have been told.

yeah I'm just not sure about 300 bucks for a set of race valves on a set of after cheap aftermarket set of aluminum heads, from what I'm reading I don't know that ill really see that much gain unless...

Engine builder is recommended race Valves and 3 angle valve job saying that it will really allow the heads to flow, ? Is is it worth it for a car that will see most of its use on the street?

gonna pull heads visit machine shop then we will post cc volume and engine measurements and ask for thoughts. right now pulled 700r4 apart for some fresh clutches everything else already been done...

something else you may want to consider is a tranny cooler, and as mentioned above fan direction is big a piece of paper will tell you if you are pushing or pulling seems like I remember making this...

one last thought make sure your radiator over flow is hooked up and has coolant in it, the radiator fill is below the thermostat housing and will have air in the system without it.

only other thing I can think of is maybe you are turning the electric fans on to late the the heat cycle. I have my first fan coming on at 160 and 2nd coming on at 180
