It's a daily driver. I haven't really checked anything, I'm not too mechanically inclined. I changed the fuel filter a few months ago.

Rough idle

My car has a really rough idle. It goes back and forth between about 500 and 800 sometimes lower almost to the point of dieing. Could new plugs/wires maybe help this?

Shift knob question...

I have an 89' Firebird and I'm going to get one of the white hurst shift knobs. I was wondering if anyone knew the thread pattern on the shifter. Any help would be appreciated.
