Re: T5 vs T56 preliminary planning questions

The pull-to-push conversion he's talking about is a kit that some company sells that allows you to use an LS1-style clutch hydraulic system, and thusly retain your factory clutch and flywheel. It's...

Re: 9 Bolt posi info wanted

IIRC you'll need to replace the whole carrier to go from 3.08 to 3.45 ratio. Also, I've had the same Amsoil synthetic gear oil with no additives of any kind in my 9-bolt since I put it in the car. ...

Re: T5 vs T56 preliminary planning questions

The T56-in-a-thirdgen swap is about as easy as a custom trans swap can get. Going from a factory T5 car, you don't have to worry about modifying the pedals or the firewall since they're already set...

Re: VE Table tuning question..

I'd disable CCP for VE tuning as well as EGR. Both will affect the air/fuel mixture when active and you want your VE changes to be the only thing affecting BLMs. I'm not familiar with the $0D mask,...

Re: T5 to T56 swap

It's very straightforward if you use a trans from an LT1 car. You'll need these from the donor:

Re: conversion of tpi harness

Works great if the only problem is the wiring to the lock cylinder. If the passkey module is at fault, or any other interconnecting wiring, this fix won't work.

Re: conversion of tpi harness

Changing the harness won't help you because the computer would still be looking for the VATS signal. Easiest way to go would be have a chip programmed for the car with VATS disabled.
