I put it back. If I flip it over, it'll rub that inside wall on the horn again. That bind appears to be a one time thing. I took it around the block with varying throttle positions and had no hang...

The alternator is in. I'll be back at it after my WFH meeting.



Looks like they have the LT BLUE wire out of the Choke Heater Relay off one junction. It should be one to the right.

Thanks for the in-depth explanation of the alternator relation to the choke operation. This definitely points me in the direction of a bad alternator. It likely has an intermittent faulty regulator....

Rear speakers are easy. Unscrew the coat hooks and slide the fabric sail panel up and off.


Speedo being off can be two things (off the top of my head):

The Holley+RPM intake didn't fit under my hood.
The Qjet+Non-RPM barely fits (cause the hood to stick up a bit).

Plus everyone on the boards is saying a properly set up CCQjet is the best route...

Since last post I've changed the header to block gaskets with copper style ones. Thought my exhaust leak was coming from there. Didn't make much of a change to anything, so I'm guessing the paper...

I do not.
I know about all the drawbacks, which is why I'm using it temporarily. My front bumper is a mismatch color and the whole car needs a repaint. The bra covers it for now until I get a chance...

Replacement ECM installed. Car started up with 4pin connector connected and no CEL light turned on. Idled higher than normal (cold start) at ~1000 RPM. Let it sit and idle for a while. RPMs dropped...

If you have factory 3wire, go with 3 wire.

I had an extra 3wire OPSU from my 83 around when I put the motor in for my 82. It's the large diameter 3wire unit, which I think is BYD....
