I just had to do a distributor in my 305 tbi a week after doing a solid tuneup. I never did test the injectors for power, but since I have a truck, I could get at the connector for the fuel pump....

Thanks for all the quick replies! it absolutely was the distributor (or the module/dist combo). I dont know why i didnt notice when i swapped cap and rotor, but the plate the module sits on was all...

I dont exactly have an f body, but i have 2 trucks (2500 chev and a Jeep YJ) with 305 tbi's. This site seems to be the most familiar with the motors.

Last week, I did a tuneup in the truck....

ok, so I finally broke down and took the Heep to a shop... they found ; 1) EGR was toast... replaced that ; 2) The valves in the heads were too tight .... adjusted; 3) the ECM is hooped... still...
