there is one sensor by the rad for outside temperature, then there is one in the dash somewhere, for interior temperature, so the ECC unit can adjust temp and fan accordingly, but only in "AUTO" mode

I agree with Kaz there, if its flooded, floor it and start it.. I've had to do that with FI cars... a better way to clear up a flood in a FI engine is to pully the fuel pump fuse, and crank it...

Do you have the "Coil in cap" design distributor? If so, I had that problem in my old Parisienne, thought it was the coil, and it wasn't... the Distributor was just toast, i think it eas HEI...
