I also ran into the same problem stripped about a 1'4 inch of the bolt tread. was gonna chase the threads to see if the were okay but if I do have to use a time sert which one do I get? sry little...

I got my cable right from My gm dealership in calgary. but thiers another store here that can still get OEM parts form another dealer in the states but i Cant remeber what the companys called that...

it happened to my car but it was stuck in reverse not sure if the same thing is going on but my shifter cable actually snapped inside the sleeve and i couldn't see it I must have drove it for awhile...
