TPS could absolutely be a possibility. Have you checked the voltage on it? If it jumps around or drops off as you're opening the throttle it's bad. Could also just be too far out of adjustment.

Had the exact same problem with my LB9. Turned out to be leaking fuel injectors. A set of Bosch IIIs from southbay fixed the problem immediately. :2cents:

One option would be to bypass the heater core at least temporarily. That way you can at least focus on more important things and be able to drive the car comfortably (relatively speaking).
